Development Intern

The role of Bright Pink’s Development Intern is to support the expansion, execution and evaluation of the organization’s core fundraising initiatives. The Development Intern will learn the ins and outs of nonprofit fundraising including the prospecting, recruiting, fundraiser services, and impact reporting. This position is based at Bright Pink’s headquarters in Chicago and will require 10-20 hours per week.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the growth of the individual giving program through prospect research, benefits administration and communication
  • Support the expansion of Bright Pink’s endurance program, Team Bright Pink, through fundraiser communication and prize fulfillment
  • Support the expansion of peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns through community outreach, partner prospecting, fundraising services and post-campaign impact reports
  • Support data capture and hygiene, working through the Salesforce platform
  • Help implement and execute solicitation campaigns
  • Oversee/execute materials packing and shipment for initiatives

Supervisor: Associate Director of Development

Status: Temporary, Unpaid Intern; college credit available

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of undergraduate coursework
  • At least one prior internship or employment position in an office environment preferred
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule with sporadic evening and weekend hours
